I say charrie, but that's just cause I'm comfortable with the "I" "me" form. Go by what you're comfortable with. ;3 I have more practice with first person, that's why I mess up a lot if I'm using third person. Or vise versa... ^^:

I can't really vote because it depends on the case. This is my theory that I've worked out over the months and years.
The "I" view should be used sparingly, only when you need that extra something to connect you to a character so that you're closer to them. That way you can read their thoughts precisely and really stike up a close bond with them. Gina, for example - I love her more than life itself. I have only used third person with her a few times - once for an essay in school and I think I RPed with her in the third on one occasion. With this vantage point, you have to be careful that you give all characters unique attributes and personalities so that they don't blend. Blending is awful. I hate it. HAAAATE. More than anything.
On the other hand, the third person can be used freely and easily and is usually the number-one choice. Usually. Again, it depends. It's a tool to go with if you already feel a very strong bond to the character because, perhaps, of something about them. For example, I used it with Anastasia and Carmen - Ana because she's supremely smart and remarkably emotionless, which I find fascinating, and Carma because - aside from the fact that I just love 'er to pieces, not that I don't love Ana as well - she's different. She looks different, she acts differently, and she's just not... typical. Hard to explain, but I think you know what I mean, because you know her too.
Anyway, that's just my opinion, but go for whatever you're comfortable with.
