General
Q: What is this site about?
A: This is a role play site where you may play as a wolf, human, canine, or mythical creature. If you want what the plot is, please click HERE for the plot. It does not entirely effect all races, so mini-plots are still able to be made.
Q: Why is this site called Twisted Illusionist?
A: Well, at first I was going to name it Twisted Illusions. But the name was already taken on InvisionFree, which was were the original Twisted Illusionist was located. But, after getting sick of dealing with all the coding and having a wider knowledge of Proboards, I switched over, and this is how Twisted Illusionist is today.
Q: What level of role players can join?
A: All levels are welcome, as the more you role play, the better you get.
Q: What is Web 14?
A: It is the rating of Twisted Illusionist. Miss Mab's definition of it is :: "This site contains slightly offensive material. High chance of mild swearing, partial nudity, violence and adult themes." This basically means little kids should go back home or find a nice rated G site. =3
Q: How old do you have to be to join?
A: Proboards does not let anyone under the age of 13 make or join a proboard. We set the requirement there. However, we cannot tell if you are lying or being truthful about your age when you sign up, and because of that there might be younger audiences here than we know about. Parents should not blame this on Twisted Illusionist, as it was their child who signed up, and we have no power over knowing that child's age.
Q: What is a n00b?
A: Someone who does not follow the rules and breaks them constantly to the point they are a serious annoyance. It's even worse when the admin of the site is a n00b.
Q: What is a "twink"?
A: Well, if I think of my old friend's definition of it { she called a ton of people twinks, just not to their face. They didn't know her anyway, it's just considered rude to call someone a twink. } is someone who uses excessive chat speak { r u going 2 post } and I'm sorry to say it but most of the time they use a lot of punctuation { ????? !!!!! } when it's not needed. I'm not trying to be mean here or anything, but dignity is something I think you'd want to keep, and even if no one says it to you most people don't like it. I deal with it, and keep my mouth shut about the way people post. It's just unlikely that you need that much punctuation. This is only referring to role play, mind you. It really doesn't matter out of it.
Q: Why are you never on?
A: Oh, actually normally I am and you just can't see me. If I post then that's what it is. Otherwise, I'm talking on the phone with someone special. I can't concentrate on talking on the phone and being on here at the same time. Especially if it's my mother, and especially if she's drunk.

Characters
Q: How many characters can we have?
A: Eight humans, eight wolves, eight canids that don't include wolves, and eight mythical creatures. In all, thirty two, which I doubt anyone will make that many.
Q: Will you check my characters?
A: Due to people not reading the rules, I have to. And I shall get to it whenever I am on. You don't need to let me know.
Q: Are your own characters allowed to meet in a roleplay?
A: Yes. Your own characters can be friends, pact partners, family members, just not your girlfriend, boyfriend, or mate.
Q: Why was my character rejected?
A: It should have a reply to it saying what needs to be fixed.
Q: I want to make a wolf character, but I don't know any breeds. Where can I find wolf breeds?
A: Please refer to THIS post. It has a list of some breeds and creature types, and links to information on them.
Q: I can't think of a name. Are there any good name sites?
A: Try THIS post.
Q: When will my character be accepted?
A: If it says "Not Finished" or something like that, then I will not accepted until that is taken out. If iit doesn't say that, then I might not have been on yet.
Q: What is the maximum pixel width for character images?
A: 500 pixels.
Q: What if I can't resize it?
A: Then you send it to Envy and she'll resize it using photoshop.
Q: What kind of mythical creatures are allowed?
A: They are all allowed. Dragons, Vampires, Chimeras, even ones your create. Some are also listed HERE.

C-Box
Q: What does the C stand for?
A: Chat. As in "Chat Box."
Q: How come we can't advertise on it?
A: Because you can put the link where it says email / url and your name will be linked.
Q: What if we have the same name as another member?
A: Then I suggest you change it before they complain, cause whichever had the name first is the one who gets to be called that.
Q: Why do people advertise on it anyway?
A: They aren't people. They're little spam bots who I block whenever they post. Evil bots... will burn...
Q: What tags can be used in the C-box? A: bold italics underline
[sup] [sub] [s] [big] [small] [scroll]
color can be changed
web name
Q: How do I get an avatar?
A: You can either make or find an image that is 45x45 pixels { if you right click and click on properties, and you clicked on an image, it will tell you how many pixels high and wide it is }. Then upload it to tinypic.com. It is one of the only URLs short enough to fit in the "email / url" box, which is where you would then place the code.

UBBC Coding
Q: How do I put an image in a post? A:
Q: How do I put in links? A: Text
Q: How do you make things bold, italic, underlined, striked, et cetera? A: Bold Italic Underlined [s]Strike Through[/s] [glow=COLOR,2,300]Glow[/glow]
Q: How do you KNOW all this?
A: UBBC drop down and about three years of working with Proboard sites.

Staff
Q: How do I become staff?
A: For one, you can act mature. For two, you know many things about Twisted Illusionist. And three, you are trusted by both the Admin and the Co-Admin. Or just fill out the application on the applications board when you get 700 posts and hope you aren't rejected.
Q: Why are the rules for staff more demanding than members?
A: Staff needs to be on at least once in a while, that way we can help any members that have questions about the forum. They also need to know the rules, so they don't become n00bs.
Q: I've seen people become staff before having 700 posts, like Nikki. Why is that?
A: Nikki has been my friend for a very long time. She helped me and is one of three of my counselors. I only mean that half literally. Only one is a professional, and Kelly is as crazy, as I am, herself. So basically, she has just proved herself over and over again to me. That, and she;s co-admin. My longest lasting friend is always co-admin of my sites.

Mates
Q: Why can't you be your own mate?
A: Because I think it is ridiculous. If you are you own mate, your mate will be perfect. Mate's aren't perfect, hon, so deal.
Q: How long should your character know another before they become mates?
A: At minimum 20 posts, as anything lower is unrealistic.
Q: Is it a rule that says you have to have that many posts?
A: No, it just really irritates me.

Pacts
Q: What is a pact?
A: It is an agreement between a human and a creature where they combine souls, so when one dies, the other dies, yet they gain the power of the other.
Q: What is a pact partner?
A: I have covered that in THIS post.
Q: Does the creature lose something, or does the human?
A: The human. They both, however, gain the power to speak to each other without speaking out loud.
Q: Can you end a pact?
A: Yes, here on TI, you can. In Drakengard they always die and the pack ends -- but here, you can end it.
Q: How do you end a pact?
A: Roleplay both your souls being ripped apart and returning back to your bodies. Painful, non? You will also regain the sense you lost.

Passwords
Q: Why are there passwords for creating a character?
A: So people will read the rules and not try to be their own mate or something else like that.
Q: Where are the passwords located?
A: In the rules.
Q: I don't see them. Where in the rules?
A: Read slowing and carefully each rule. They're there for a reason besides to make you look.

Accounts
Q: Why was my account deleted?
A: You most likely did not answer an activity check or it was voted you were causing major problems.
Q: Why am I banned?
A: You are either someone who majorly pissed me off and I want you to stop bothering me, or you distrupted the forum to the point it was voted you should not be allowed back. Or you might have completely ignored staff orders. Either way.

Groups
Q: How do I make a pack / gang / clan?
A: The boards for that are located HERE and the forms for making them are inside those boards.
Q: What do I do now that I have a pack / gang / clan?
A: Please go to THIS post if you have questions on groups. If you still have a question, PM Envy or Nikki.
Q: Does my account need to be upgraded to an Alpha if I'm leader of a pack?
A: No. You are the moderator of your boards, but the account does not need to say you are an Alpha, as technically you are not the Alpha, your character is.
Q: Can I have a new territory?
A: I will not create new territories except for one when the group signs up. After that, you may request for territories that are already up. There is a list of which ones can be obtained in the Group Creation board.
Q: Can I merge my group with another members?
A: Yes, if they agree to it and if you can give me enough proof that it won't cause problems. It's better not to, especially if something goes wrong, but it's your decision.

A: Nikki has given us the links to downloadable Thesuaruses and Dictionaries as well as ones online in THIS post.
Q: How do I earn experience?
A: You earn 5 experience points for each post you make.
Q: How do I earn loyalty?
A: Loyalty goes up by 0.1 for every post you make.

Activity Checks
Q: What is an Activity Check?
A: An Activity Check is a post the admin or another staff member posts to see how many members are active. Those who reply to the Activity check remain members, but anyone who does not reply to it gets their account deleted as well as all their posts and topics. If you have notified a staff member you will be away, then you will be excused from the activity check until your return. However, if it is over two months and your excuse was you were grounded, your account may be deleted as well due to long term inactivity.
Q: Why can't I reply to the activity check?
A: Look at the dates. I write my dates 01.02.03, like that, where 01 would mean January, 02 would be the second, and 03 would be 2003. It has the date - another date, the second date being when it ended. If it is not replied to by the end of that date, then your account and all your posts will be deleted. This is merely to keep our memberships from being tainted, meaning that people who won't contribute will join and then leave. Most of the time I delete the activity checks after they are over now, anyway, unless I forget to or am in a hurry and lock it.
Q: I got an activity check email, but I posted I was away! Am I going to be deleted?
A: No. I just send out emails anyway. Normally I state that it won't count against you and that your account will remain in tact in the email, but sometimes I forget.
Q: What if you miss a lot of activity checks?
A: It depends on if you had a good excuse or not. If you didn't have one, you'll be deleted then. If you were grounded, you need to say for how long or I'll delete your after two. For others, I have not pondered that much yet.
