She sighed as she, and her friend entered the Sring. This really wasn't what she expected, it was worse. The bubbles, the black water. She wnt onto her tippy-toes and leaned over to his ear. "Can we hurry through this place?" She was nervous about it. To tell you the truth, she was scared of it, it was like a horror movie set in there.

Apocalypse nodded. "I don't like it here myself," he admitted to her, pulling her farther from the spring as it gushed more of the oozing ebony fluid over onto the once jade grass, until it was covered with the tar-like substance. It was a mere hope for him to get around it; the little bit he knew about it was it was close to the same thing as quicksand, only it pulls you under slowly, normally causing anyone ensnared to exhaust themselves before they even began suffocating.

Quicker way she thought brilliantly. She took the shadows from the trees and the grass and everything else that casted a shadow and created a bridge type thing over the water. "Hurry and we can cross without it disappearing under out feet." She said as she dragged him over the bridge.

Blinking, he followed her, being half dragged along. It took a moment for him to regain his composition and keep up with her, but Apocalypse managed, thinking to himself about the lands yet to cross. There would possibly be worse yet to come, but he was unsure.
If we reach the end of this country... what will be next? he wondered to himself, not sure of anything after the Hollow.

She stopped as soon as they got off to safety. She smirked taking down the bridge, not thinking about what was next. She started to think abou this and quietly looked at him. "What's after this?" She asked him, somewhat worried.

Apocalypse took a moment to ponder this, scratching at his light azure hair, trying to remember. "The Pond of Deception is next, if I'm not mistaken," he told her, brow furrowing at what he remembered of the place. "Don't look into the water, though. Anyone who has ever looked in it -- that I've heard of -- had seen what they will look like when they take their last breath, whether it hacked into bits or a peaceful death in sleep."

"It's worse than here!?" She said her face contorted in confusion and horror. "I guess we could stay in this place for a little while longer. I mean, there is no way I'm going to go to a place where I can't even look in the water." She said.

"We will have to pass through it, at one point. I don't know how well you'll fare in the Hollow, though," he mused quietly, as the last place in this realm was a frozen land much like his birth place. And that thought made him pause.
Had the ice elementalist already gotten there to rule?
The idea struck him hard. They might have been walking into a death trap, because he did also remember dragons of the ice element that they could have ridden out to the Hollow, and they could be working backwards to claim lands.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked cynically, her gaze becoming cold and evil. "I don't like the sound of it." She said, her lips pursing together. Her eyebrows narrowed towards her eyes and scrunched up her nose. This comment, was not a smart idea. "I'll take my chances."

"The place is covered in ice, and I'm beginning to fear the ice elementalist have headed there first," he confided to her, gazing off into the direction the frosted wonderland lay. Apocalypse rather detested hearing the words emerge on his lips nor into the warm air about them, but he'd rather be cautious than a fool. Not that he already wasn't one, he was trying to get into the life of a girl he barely knew.

"Then we find another way." She said looking into the ice lands, then back at the swamp lands. "If we stay here a few nights, we can figure out where to go. I'll do it all for you, no worries." She smiled, she loved making sure people didn't worry.

Apocalypse popped up an azure eyebrow. "I'm not sure if I should be afraid or glad you said that." The words "don't worry" rather bothered him. He used to hear them a lot, and it never really worked well for him. But, knowing Amara, she'd continue to say she'd do it, and for once he wasn't in the mood to be stubborn with her.

"You okay?" She asked him quietly. She gave a small worried look. Her worried look was something like a mother's. Though not as sincere. She didn't want t be stubborn, not now.

"Just thinking." His mind strayed to lands farther, wider. "Remembering." The word felt bitter to his tongue, like bile. But he was lost in his map of the world, conjured in his mind. There should be places beyond here... should there not? And though he had never heard of them, perhaps there was.

"Then, stop, okay?" She said looking at him, her eyes full of concern. "Snap out of it," she said waving her hand in front of his face. She was worried now, it was all his fault too. She sighed and went over to a tree, not close to him, and leaned against it.
