"You awake, Sleeping Beauty?" he asked teasingly as the serpent of frost slithered to a stop. Before them, beyond the thicket of various, thick-trunked trees lay the town they had seen when suspended in the air, upon the skull of the snake. Lightly, his fingertips brushed over her cheek, purposely cocking up on eyebrow and the other down in "his look," as she called it. The absurdity nearly made him laugh, but it was heard choice of words and not his own.
By this time the serpent had lowered its regal dial, the orbs a glassy azure as always. The sparkle of the moonlight not only caused it to glitter, but the light turquoise eyes and aquamarine hair of Apocalypse. He knew well the silvery gaze of the moon and all her glory, illuminated and framed by the millions of stars painted in the raven sky. Even know he called it beautiful; but he knew he found something much more admirable now, and he happened to be peering at her stature now.

She gave a light groan and started to wake up. "Wha--? AHHHH!" She shreiked, so had totally forgotten about Apocalypse, everything that happened, and the snake. She had given a small jump and landed hugging Apocalypse, not even knowing he was there. "Who--- oh, good.... evening? Apocalypse," she said with a crooked, weak smirk, her smirk.
She smiled into the blue eyes of her aqua haired friend. or boy friend, she'd never know. Her black lips pursed together as she blinked very slowly, she was still tired. Seeing as he had just woken her up.

He gave a light chuckle, his lips caressing her cheek for only a moment. "I didn't mean to startle you. Perhaps next time I'll just pick you up and start carrying you," he mused as he gazed softly at her, twirling strands of lavender around his fingers. In a delicate motion, he allowed the hair to fall back into position as he slipped an arm about her waist.
Beyond them, the town was full of life as people wandered back to their homes from a day of work. Lights danced along cheerily as the shadows made little cut outs within them. Vaguely, Apocalypse wondered how the shape of a couple would look passing by. Two people, hand in hand, strolling along into the dark abyss. Swiftly, he shook himself from his thoughts so that he could look at Amara once more.

"You didn't startle, your... friend did, nothing special though." She said with a smile, still, she positioned herself safely close enough to Apocalypse, so that is she did jump, he would catch her, or she'd fall off. Which ever came first.

"Seit? Oh, he's harmless. To some, anyway." Tapping her nose, he slid carefully from the frosty surface of scales. The serpent had settled its head upon the ground, and it was simple for him to dismount the creature, having lived with it for years. Apocalypse reached up to help Amara off now, instructing, "Just slide off and I'll catch you. You won't fall, I promise."
Before he continued, he crossed an X over his heart to show he meant it. The snake, who he had dubbed Seit though his purpose was minimal and he was not even a breathing being, lay still as stone upon the soil, awaiting its freedom.

Amara took a small gulp and slid into the so called "trusting" arms of Apocalypse. She gaver an emotionlessly cocky look as she reached his arms. She slowly wrapped her arms around him and smiled.

His lips turned up in a grin as he chuckled, arms finding their way around her. Gently, he made sure her feet reached solid earth before brushing a lock of her hair behind her ear. Upon their departure, the serpent rose, slithering to another area of the forest that surrounded the town.
Apocalypse took her hand into his, if only for a moment, and touched it to his lips. "Are you ready? I might need to stop by and get a job for a little while here, the money I had brought from where I was is depleting," he admitted, rubbing the back of his head in an embarrassed fashion.

"I've got some," she said casually, she reached into the pocket of her hoodie and grabbed a medium sized wad of cash. She held it lke a cigarette, between her index and middle finger.

He tapped her head lightly with his knuckles. "Ladies shouldn't have to pay for anything," he chimed to her, flipping out his wallet. It was only a wonder he hadn't lost it after all that, and he was sure that since he lost the bag of food he had been carrying with him he would lose it eventually. When he lost all the things he did, he wasn't in the least sure.
As he flipped it open, it was clear to see his I.D. card, as well as the money he still had left over from his long trip. Checking it, he confirmed the amount he had, then replaced it in his pocket. "Shall we find a place to stay for the night?" he asked innocently.

"Then what am I supposed to do with the money?" She whined innocently with a nod to his feeble question. She sighe dand shoved the money back into her hoodie pocket, closed ehr lavender eyes and pressed onward slowly.

"Save it until I'm stupid enough to become completely broke?" His fingers lifted to touch her silken strands of hair, their progress seeming slow as they strolled through the thicket of trees, a thin border between them and the town. It had never occurred to him before that they would actually make it anywhere, especially not somewhere this far. He had been certain they'd end in an argument and he'd have to trail after her all the way back, while hiding in the darkness of the forest.
The fact she hadn't punched him square in the jaw by now pleased him dearly, though he thought it may not end that way. He also knew he'd probably be up all night thinking of her instead of sleeping, because of the paranoia Killian and stirred in the atmosphere. At the time, Apocalypse didn't want Amara anywhere alone if it had a door or window.

ooc|| Hey, can we talk? I'm sorry about not talking to you, I totally forgot why I was doing that. Sorry.
bic|| Amara muttered something and counted the money in her head. She had a good hundred dollars. He hadn't left her, that was an unusual sign, her entired family had left her, but this stranger, he was here, still with her. Treating her as if she weas a delicate flower that could never die.

{ If you want to know the truth, I don't remember why we weren't talking... xD I don't remember why we stopped the first time either. }
Lightly, he touched her cheek with the tips of his fingers. Apocalypse would probably never know why, but he loved the feel of their skin touching almost as much as the feeling he got while he was around her. It was a calm, careful action while he tried to keep himself from being hesitant with her. He didn't want to rush, nor did he want to wait, he merely wanted to know she was there. That, really, she wouldn't disappear into thin air, and that he wouldn't wake up to find it was all just a long, detailed dream.

She gave him "his" look, he was very "confuzzling" or, better known as confusing. Most of his gestures, she did not understand. Nor, would she ever probably understand, but the only way to understand was to be able to read thoughts, but to her, this was unlikely.

"Are you hungry?" he inquired, his hand falling back to his side as they walked. The sound of the cobblestones beneath his feet was odd to his ears as he stepped on them, having never heard them except in choice few towns. "Or do you just want to find somewhere to get a good night's sleep for once?"
Apocalypse kept his eyes forward as he asked her this, scanning the town. It wasn't very large, but he could see an inn not far off. The aromas of different foods spilled over his senses, too, letting him know there were restaurants.
