"Do I need to protect you from any dreams?" he asked with a grin, propping himself on his elbow. It gave him the perfect angle to gaze down at her face. Beautiful as ever, he told himself. "Be the knight in shining armor and all that?" The idea was humourous, yet serious. But oh, how fun it would be to actually act out such a role.

"No, but it's just nice to have a friend," she said with a huge grin. She placed her hands, in a prayer stance under her head and drifted off into a daydreaming land. Her eyes stayed open and caring, but they never closed to blink, not once.

Apocalypse waited in silent patience for her to stir. Make a sound, blink an eye, some form of movement. After a while of only her breathing, he settled his head against his arm and continued to gaze at her. By now his lids were growing heavy with sleep. And, like a light switch, they snapped and everything was pitch black.

Amara smiled, she placed the covers over him, stood up, and strode over to the other bed, after pecking his cheek. "Night sleepy head," she whispered, going back to sleep. This time, she was greeted, with more pleasant dreams.

He made sort of a groaning noise when she kissed him, but made no move to get up. A faint smile stretched over his lips to indicate he at least knew who had kissed him. He'd get her in the morning, when he wasn't falling asleep. The idea sounded appealing. Perhaps a good-morning pounce to wake her up.
Had he not been so tired, he'd have chuckled at the thought. Instead, he was finally weighed down into a world of dreams. Drifting farther and farther...

Amara smiled hearing his groan, she knew she was going to sleep in the next morning, and these beds were so damn comfortable. She miled as she dozed off, replaying the last few days, the leaving of home, the meeting of Apo and least friendly, the meeting of Killian.

Apocalypse moaned as the light filtered through the blinds. They should have kept it out, or so he told himself, so it would wake him. His frigid blue eyes blinked wearily open, his gaze scanning the room as he began to piece together where he was. At first, he drew a blank, his face et to a grimace of confusion. Then, in a flash, it hit him.
A grin lit up his face, his azure orbs brightening. He flitted his line of sight to the other bed. He was eager to see how she had faired through the night. That, and he was hoping she was still there.

Amara, who was ignoring the light from the blinds, kept sleeping, seeing as there was just enough shadow to give her some beauty sleep. She had already blanked out on where she was, and who she was with, like the time before. She tossed ver, but didn't open her eyes.

Quietly, he slid off the bed to go over to her. On his way he realized he really need to buy himself and her new clothes. These were starting to wrinkle already, and a nice frozen shower wouldn't be bad either.
Coming to the side where the sunlight poured through, he sat gently on the edge of the bed. It was just enough to block out the light and give the shadow that'd delete the illumination, slightly, from the backs of her eyelids. And she looked so peaceful while she slept. Why not give her reason to continue?

Amara tossed again, she felt her face get cool, probably Apocalypse's fault, but she was too deep into her sleep to rememeber it wasn't a one night fling, or that she was still with him.

He merely gazed down at her, awaiting her moment of awakening. Yet, at the same time, wanting her to remain asleep. It could not be told yet what would happen in the future, for either of them, and he frowned at the thought of having to settle a while to get more money to continue. The thought of staying with her was bizarre, but favourable. Or, perhaps it wasn't. He was unsure.

Amara did not wake up, she was too heavily asleep to wake up now, and the beds were so comfortable, it was like a rectangle sized Apocalypse. That, was a happy thought, a very happy thought.

While he waited, he put his elbow on the headboard. He used this as a make-shift pillow to lay his head on. It wasn't as comfortable as it would be lying down on the bed, but he didn't wish to return to his. That, and he didn't want Amara to freak if he was sleeping next to her when she woke up. Screaming and inns do not mix.
