She smirked, yeah, she hadn't seen humans up here a lot, and he was right, you do get what you need, peace and quiet. "But what does one need quiet from?" She asked with a coy look at him, she loved doing this, if he didn't answer, she'd just shrug her shoulder and walk away, but if he answered, they could talk.
Her elastic snapped, and her hair fell in her face. She sighed and pulled out a long clip from one of her pockets and tied her long tresses of auburn hair up quickly. sighing she fixed her bangs also, so they actually covered her left eye.

Jonathan started at her words. He hadn't expected her to snap a question at him like that that he was supposed to catch. Of course, he could let it go, but where would be the challenge in that? It was always said that talking about your problems helped. But thinking about that only made him feel worse; how many times had he sat down with Gina and stroked her hair when she cried and talked her through every little thing that she was upset about? Many. Too many to count. He didn't mind, not a bit, but it reminded him that that couldn't be done anymore... at least not for now.
Yelling, he replied truthfully. One needs quiet from yelling, door slamming, screaming, complaining, and overally just lots of arguments. Jonathan wasn't sure why he had opened up so quickly - maybe he really did just need to talk.

((I shine in with haven't you people ever heard of, closing the G*d damn door no?))
"Interesting," she said quietly looking at him with her average sized dull sapphire eyes. She brought her hands behind her head again, just to fix that annoying clip she had just placed only moments before.
Her eyes crossed towards the heavens as she fumbled around with the back of her head, and it was harder to accomplish what she wanted, than it seemed. It would be easier if she was doing it to someone else, but it never worked out of her. She was definately screwed up when God made her.

(( *chime in, says the Panic! addict ))
Depends on how you look at it, Jonathan muttered, picking up a nearby stone and turning it around and around in his callused hands. It reminded him of himself; tossed and thrown and constantly churning, his only respite the split second between gravity stopping and the next leap. Jonathan didn't like to feel sorry for himself, but he couldn't really help it. He felt sorry for himself, for Gina, and especially for Rian, yet he still couldn't bring himself to fix it. How useless was that?
So what about you? he asked, not really sure what his own question meant. He could have been referring to her family, her friends, or even just her mood. Jonathan would let her decide which question to unveil beneath the words and which to answer.

"A stole away, I guess we can call it, just, getting away from reality for an hour or so, then I can go back, calm and a new," she said now finished playing with her clip. She stuffed her hands into her hoodie pockets and jutted her hip to the side.
You're wasting your time, you coud be at the peak if you wanted to be, but instead, your taking in the air with a man, you know that's not right! She thought, my parents won't approve!

I guess that'd be an effective tactic, Jonathan replied with an awkward shrug. He wasn't too sure what to say to that. He really didn't want to mess this up along with everything else. To him, it seemed that fucking things up was all he did lately; his relationships, his job, even his own thinking. Jonathan felt like an empty shell without the love of those whom he cherished about everyone else.
Do they... notice? he asked carefully, not wanting to strike a nerve, but feeling an urge to know at the same time. He knew firsthand what it was like to have uncaring parents. He'd experienced it himself during the longest years in his life.

"No one notices, I say I'm home, and they asked me if I've left," she smuttered with a depressed sigh. "Then it starts all over agan, the circle of life." She continued. She took a few strides towards where her destination would have been, but she didn't plan on reaching this destination.
"What about you, do they notice when you leave?" She saw the little ring imprint (Not sure if he's wearing one) on his left hand, a band, more or less as her friends would have called it, taken.

(( Hm. Interesting idea, but there aren't rings where he comes from. I'd have to think about that, I never really designed any huge ideas for wedding ceremonies. Thanks for the thought. xD ))
That must really make you feel wanted, Jonathan mumbled, shaking his head slightly. He pushing back his yellowish hair from his forehead with an annoyed gesture that communicated inadvertently that he had done it countless times before, and as a result, wished for the thousandth time that he would stop forgetting to get a haircut. Then again - this was a regular internal argument for him - whenever there was time, he always regretted ever thinking about it. Jonathan's locks went to about his ears, maybe a bit past, and he liked it at that length. Usually.
When I leave... He leaned back on the rock, staring up at the sky so that the sun scorched his eyes and impaired his vision. Jonathan closed his eyes. Yeah, they notice. He decided that he may as well throw in a bit of background information so that Lorelei wasn't entirely lost. My wife usually sees me leave, which only makes her angry because I guess I do it too much, but everyone needs to get away sometimes. She can just read or something, but I don't read - "can't read
[/i]," he corrected himself in his mind - so this is where I go.[/size][/blockquote]

"Well, I guess it's better to know your loved, when people notice you, then to know your ignored by the world, when no one notices." She said with a depressed sigh, people would ahve thought she was depressed, and in a way, she was. But, then again, in another way she wasn't.
She just thought that the whole world thought she was invisible, and it seemed like it a lot too. She would bump into someone and fall, they wouldn't even look down at her, they'd just step over her and continue.

That's true. Jonathan sighed. He didn't really know Lorelei - as previously established - but he still felt bad for her. She really seemed to have been shunted to one side, like she wasn't important; like something else had taken priority over her. Maybe they do notice and they just don't say anything? he suggested lamely. It probably didn't help, but he was sympathetic for Lorelei and wished that he could say something to make it better somehow.
Then again, he didn't know anything about her life. All he knew was his own and how screwed up it was these days.

She sighed and slung her head. "It's nothing, I'm used to it, being cast aside like an old sock is now, more like life, then it was, a new feeling." She said, her shoulders dropped, and her eyes became caring. She looked up and displayed a face smile. "Since that's out of the way, I have a question for you!" She wanted to ask him about his height.
Where did he come from? How was he so tall? Why was he so tall? What did he eat to become so tall? Where all the questions buzzing around throughout her mind. It was a mess in the head at the moment.

Jonathan was taken aback when he saw her smile, but didn't hesitate to return it, though uncertainly, though carefully. His face was normally friendly and good-natured, but he probably had the happiest grin most folks had ever seen. For someone with so much adversity in his past, Jonathan was an extremely cheerful young man - when the time was right. In a rage, he did things that he was later very ashamed of.
Ask away, he said, wanting to take advantage of her abrupt, chipper mood. There was no point in setting out to disappoint people - this Jonathan knew, and the opposite was what he tried to accomplish. He liked to be helpful just for the sake of making the world a better place.

"How come you're so tall!?" She exclaimed with asmile. She looked up at him, he was HUGE compared to her. She wanted to be like that, and not get unnoticed all the time. She was like the wallflower, that hanged colours, but no matter what, was never noticed.
She was never this cheery. EVER! he was always in a gloomy state, hoping one day, she'd be noticed, but yet, glad sometimes she isn't. That was how life for Lorelei was, sometimes, when in a good mood, was cheery.

Jonathan laughed fully; a happy laugh, a cheerful laugh, a chipper laugh. A noise of joy that had not emerged from his mouth in days. That question was bound to come up soon, huh? he grinned. It always does eventually. People just can't rely on being polite any longer and go out on a limb and ask. Curiousity killed the cat, I guess.
He spread out his arms as if modelling himself so that she could clearly see his height (not that she couldn't already). My mom was a half giant, my dad was human. I only got some of the giant blood. A frown crossed his face; one usually did when he spoke of his parentage. I'm just a freak of nature, though I try not to say that at home because it causes a lot of problems.

"Well, it's better that I asked now, then was blunt later on abuot it. And, that's so cool!" She exclaimed happily. "Man, if I was tall like that, I wouldn't be forgotten so much." HEr purpose in life, was to get her family to remember her again, it was not like she was a ghost, she never died. She was still there, and happy to be there.
She always was the person who wanted to solve their own problems, so they can help the world later on in life. She wanted to be a person like Mother Teresa, helping all. But she didn't really like the idea of being a nun, she wasn't very fond of that.
