"Ugh," he muttered, rubbing the back of his head. "Alright, uh... We really didn't get off to a good start with the whole meeting each other thing," he began awkwardly, kicking at the ground with his shoe. He wasn't one to care about if he got off on the wrong foot or not.
"My name is Apocalypse Izotz Tornincasa," he said with a bow, only to mumble curses about the habit of bowing when introducing himself. Straightening, he gazed over at her and waited for her to say something.

"Amara," she said with a giggle. "Wow, you really screwed that up." She said giggling still. "And yes, we did screw up the first half of this, your right." She looekd at him with a smile.
She seemed pretty nice under the anti-social, semi-emo exterior. She was more innocent then anything. She was sweet, and caring and kind and... I jsut won't go there. She though hadn't been exposed to the real world, so she was vulnerable to lies. She though, using her powers, could escape.

"You having fun with your little laugh attack over there?" he asked, a smile playing on his lips. He chose a nearby Birch tree to lean on, its wooden surface scraping his skin through his ivory shirt.
She didn't seem so bad now. Now. Apocalypse wasn't all that trusting of her yet. The element of the night, of darkness, it isn't as much a toy as some may believe. It was harder to get accustom to than ice or water. But for now, he could be a little kinder, he supposed.
Just this once, he told himself.

"Hey, I haven't spoken a word to people before. You're a first, it's not my fault it happened," said said shaking her head, calming down from her laugh attack. She looked at him and pretended a shocked look. "Are you smiling!?"
she walked by and sat on the floor, she was tired. She let out a HUGE yawn and closed her eyes, then slowly opened them again.

"No, I'm frowning," he claimed sarcastically, only making the grin wider. "And what do you mean, you 'haven't spoken a word to people before'? Surely you've talked to someone in your life," he said, skeptical of the idea. But there he went, with his own notions once more.
His aquamarine eyes never left her as he watched her sit down on the grass, illuminated by the dim silvery light from above. It took most than a small bit of energy to keep from catch the contagious yawn.

"Nope not a word." She said shaking her head. This, was teh truth, she hadn't said a word to another human-looking person in her entire life, this was sad, yet true. If an idea can be dreamt, it can be done, and not speaking a word to anyone else, was done.
She wasn't looking at him when he was looking at her. Though it was nice to know she had someone to look at. She didn't see many people, living at the stream was easier than real life sometimes.

Staring at her, the thought had resisted to be known to him until this moment. She was homeless, she had no parents, and she was alone. Except, perhaps, for the shadows, but they could not bring the same company as a living, breathing individual could.
"Don't you get lonely out here all alone?" he questioned, taking a step closer to her, hands within his pockets again. He would have asked if she got bored as hell, but refrained from asking that much.

"Yeah it is quite lonely here, but you get used to it." She said with a smile. "Shadows may do things, they may live, but they can't talk or act like a human, they dance." she explained.
She kept sitting down. She sat down on her but and crossed her legs quickly. She stuck her hands in her lap and fisted them.

He took a few more paces toward her until he stood beside her. His voids glanced at her, then swiftly turned back to the verdant grass. "I take it they're your only friends out here, then, huh?" he inquired, able to see the obsidian and lavender strands of her hair from the corner of his eye.
Surprisingly enough, his power over ice calmed and the chill that usually hung thickly around him died away. The zephyr that brushed past him wasn't exactly enough to keep him cool, either, so he tugged in irritation at the collar of his shirt. It was much too warm out to him.

"Yeah I guess you could say that," she said laying down on the grass looking at the stars. "Okay, while I'm lying down, do not trample." She warned him quickly.
She peered at him tugging his collar, "You're warm aren't you?" She asked him. She was looking at him upside down, so it wasn't very easy to tell what was what now.

"What? Oh... Yeah, it's hotter here than where I'm from," he said, gazing down at her. Damn what am I doing here? he asked in his mind, chewing the inside corner of his mouth. At least if he said something stupid or she said something that embarrassed him he could blame it on the heat.
Awkwardly, he asked her, "Uh... mind if I sit down?" What was wrong with him, he didn't know. Acting as if she actually owned it. That wasn't usual to him. Neither was asking permission for anything.

"Have a seat," she said, she rolled over and was in the same position, but with enough room for him. Amara smiled and sighed. She looked at the constellations, her eyes shifting from one to another, on and on and on.
The shadows peered out as if to ask if it was safe to come out. She nodded and smirked, and out came the shaodws, dncing around in their 3-D form.

Sitting down on the grass, Apocalypse watched the shadows, not exactly used to watching such things dance around. A regular first reaction would be a sharp gust of frozen air, but he kept his powers at bay, not wanting them to start acting up again.
"So... um... Amara, what do you do around here since no one really comes around here?" In a random gesture, he plucked a piece of grass and rubbed it between his fingers, its surface soft to the touch.

"Nothing much, sit in the trees, do random things," she said, "but most of the time, I am bored, so having a visitor is nice and new." She smiled meekly. She placed her hands behind her head.

"I see," he said in an undertone, hesitating to lay back on the grass. The sky, dark navy with tiny lights cutting through it, hovering above him, the soft sounds of rustling leaves... It was just too peaceful here compared to what he knew.
"But are you sure about that 'nice' part?" he asked, an eyebrow kicking up. He had been a total bastard at the beginning of this. There wasn't really anything nice about that part.
