He watched how she reacted, a sigh escaping his parted lips. His temper was growing short, and he knew he couldn't go without hurting her the way he was. What he really needed was to understand what it was like to be human again, and not some hybrid of an incubus and vampire.
Striding quietly over to her, he touched her cheek with the tips of his fingers, being careful not to accidentally bruise it. They stroked her pale skin as his mouth set into a frown. "I'm not going to hurt you, Trix," he murmured softly. "I'm not going to hurt you. It may seem impossible for that to be true, but I'm trying."

Then why does it hurt!? Was the first thing that came into her mind. It was true, but then being what he was, it was hard for him not to look like that. She swallowed slowly. Feeling everything as it dropped slowly, flowing, to the bottom of her neck.
Her bottom lip couldn't stop quivering though. "I...... know." She said.

Again he sighed, and he looked at her with solemnity. Could he do anything more to completely destroy this? Most likely, but he was hoping he wouldn't. His fingers stroked over her temple and touched her trembling lip. Why couldn't he just pretend, just for a little while, that he had the most patience in the world?
Because he didn't, and he knew that.
"Do you want me to hide my wings?" he inquired softly, glancing back at the menacing, demon-like objects. Even if he found them a comfort, she most likely didn't. What he looked like to her... he wasn't sure he wanted to know.

"No," she said shaking her head, her voice sounded soft, not scared anymore. She shook her head. She tried to slither away, without him noticing. She wanted to go the window, and jump out the window, if she lived, then she'd go commit suicide later.

J.D. cupped her chin in his hand, being careful not to hurt her physically. Leaning down, he left a kiss upon her cheek. "I'm sorry," he murmured to her, though inside it was frustrating him that she was so easy to damage. Why couldn't she be less afraid of him? He knew this was not the time to get mad again. "You should go back to sleep."

"I'm fine," she muttered, lowering her head. Her face, was regaining a tint of colour, like a doll. She was blushing. He had just kissed her. This... was unfair.
Thoughts rushed through her mind. She was learning to love him, but yet, she had to refrain from doing so. She would just hurt herself more. HE WAS DEAD. That was the fact that left her hanging.

"You need sleep," he whispered, right into her ear. "It's unhealthy for you not to get enough rest. Or must I find sleeping pills or something to get you to listen?" The back of his hand lightly brushed over her cheek. How cold he must feel to her, he thought.
His looks never mattered much to him. So at the moment he wasn't wearing a shirt, was pale as a corpse, and had bright green eyes that could glow like neon lights in the darkness because of how intensely verdant they were. He had wings and fangs. Taking that all in, the gentle smile that had been painted on his face drew down into a solemn frown. She knew too much of what he was. He had just realized how much he had let her learn, and he feared then that it might not have been wise to do so. But he needed to stay with her... if only it be until the morning.

"I'm fine." She muttered. She didn't need more sleep, she ha enough rest, and was in no need to get any more. She started to look at him, when, his hand brushed her cheek. His hand, was rough and hard, probably because he was a corpse.
She had let him know too much about her. She let him know about Finn, about her restraining order, about how it all hurt her, and then, she let him imply on her seeing her little sister. That hurt her most.

"You are most certainly not fine," he told her in as delicate a tone of finality as possible."If you are not going to sleep, tell me something I can do so I do not die of madness from having to feel the pained beating of your heart in my ears. It sounds so solemn and broken, but I know not how to end its quiet reverberation of criss-crossed scars. I've never heard a heart quiet like yours, weighed down by such things."
His fingers drew a few locks of her hair, twirling them around his index finger idly in a playful sort of way. When that grew boring, a very short time later, he replaced the strands with exaggerated care. He wished to be level with her now, but he feared she would become hysterical if he dared lay beside her in this state. In truth he couldn't tell a difference in her heartbeat other than it was a softer thump and a slower tempo.

"I am too fine." She retorted with her own tone of finality. "Why, my heart beat is so wretched? Or you just love to listen to it so much?" she teased. She cocked an eyebrow up and gave him a wicked smirk, right after he had fixed her hair.
She rolled over on the bed to make room for him. There was nothing suggestive about her actions. Just one friend, to another friend. That was excatly how she saw this situation, he was her very scary friend, or other wise known as her kidnapper.

"Maybe I want to feel the beat vibrate through the palm of my hand," he countered in a smooth tone, a grin flickering in his eyes. He settled on the bed, though he felt like he was on the edge of it as he attempted to keep distance between them. One of his large left wing curled lightly behind him and touched the floor. It would have been much nicer if he could control the size of his wings, he thought to himself in irritation. Then, to keep the other from being crushed under his weight, he arched it like a canopy above her, the edge of it touching the wall.
J.D. let out a breath, blowing softly onto her throat. "So tempting," he murmured as he closed his emerald voids for a moment. He could not stop his thoughts from this point on, but he prayed silently to no one he could control his actions. If he messed up, it was over. One of his verdant eyes opened to peek over at her, not sure how she'd respond to the words he spoke if she had heard them.

"Excuse me?" She said looking at him, gawking. "You want to what?" She needed to hear that again, so that she got it right. He wanted to hold her heart? Was what she heard.
The idea, was somewhat morbid in her mind. She could picture it, a girl, with no heart, laying as a bloody mess on the floor, a vamopire incubis mix, holding her beating heart. She gave a soft shudder when she pictured it.

"Did I give you the wrong mental image?" He frowned, realizing she had. It must make her thing differently since he wasn't like her, he realized. With a light sigh, he shook his head. "Not as you probably think I meant."
Cautiously, he reached a hand out toward her. His orbs flitted to her face as his palm touched the place above her heart. He could feel the beating of it, how it thumped and echoed through the rest of her. His hand stayed there, but it was not pressed against her chest, merely placed gently there. "That is what I meant," he told her, leaning his head against his other arm that lay beneath him. "Not whatever you were thinking."

She gave a quick sigh of relief. "God, you don't want to know what my twisted mind came up with when you said that." She still couldn't believe what her mind had pictured when he said that.
She placed her hand on top of his. She smiled, soft and sweet. She removed her hand quickly. Somewhat blushing as she did.

His head tilted slightly. "And what did your mind come up with, dear Trix?" he queried in a murmur, touching her temple lightly. "It must have been truly gruesome."
His voids watched her in wonder for once. He was, indeed, a horrid creature tormenting her with his presence, but what had she imagined? And the heat that had risen to her cheeks he did not understand, either. He could feel his heartbeat now; this body alive unlike the other. His Incubus body... the one of a demon. Who knew it had a heartbeat? It grew in sync with hers, a rhythm faster than its usual pulse.
