He nodded his ebony head, bracing his legs so he could allow her to pull herself up without him toppling over. Silently, his voids feel to the windows, the droplets trickling down and glimmering like crystals. The sounds of the melody of taping danced along the roof, filling his ears. A smile, if you could all it that, appeared on his muzzle.
"The rain is quite soothing," he stated, watching the silvery sky. He wished slightly that he could go out into the rain and just sit back on his haunches, staring up at the clouds. But he needed to stay inside, and also to watch over Sa'd in case something worse happened. Why he cared, he was not sure, but he did.

Aasta gently gripped Rafe around his neck and pulled herself into a sitting up position. She lightened her grip, and closed her eyes. "Yeah, it is very soothing. Tod really doesn't like this weather," she respond.
She thought for a moment, then brighten up a little. "Can you help me outside? I can put something over my head so the bandages don't get wet!" she stated, smiling.

The fur on his brow ruffled up. "Are you sure? I'm not sure if a concussion will occur or anything from when you hit your head. It might not be a good idea to go out just yet..."
After a moment Rafe blinked, realizing his bizarre action. He had shown caring for the girl, and he did not know her, expressing that he wasn't sure of the side effects. What he should have said was merely "I don't thinking that's a good idea" without any feeling, but he had ended up explaining. What have I done to get myself into this mess that I'm now creating?

Aasta smiled brightly, and said, "I don't think anything bad would happen. I just love the rain. Thanks for being concerned though."
She gently rested her head on Rafe's shoulder, and she closed her eyes. She hummed slightly off key, and listened to the rain. Tod, who was awake, didn't interrupt. So long as Aasta was content, Tod didn't interfere.

Had he not been covered in obsidian pelt, all would have noticed him blush. To have one place their head on his shoulder was not something that happened everyday, and it made him feel odd when it occurred just now. "If you would be careful not to step on anything too slick...," he started saying, glancing at Tod.
The thought was making him unsure, but he finished, "... then I guess I could help get you outside for a little bit." Better get back in your human form, Rafe, he snorted to himself. You're not exactly useful if she falls as a wolf.

Aasta looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you Rafe!" she exclaimed softly, and she hugged him gently.
She loved the rain more then any type of weather, snow excluded. It was fun to dance around in, and so long as she didn't fall, it was fun. Though, she didn't think that the reason her head hit so hard was just because of a little fall. No, she was pretty positive that she hit her head on something sharp. "Should I let you go so we can go outside?" she asked softly.

"I think I will indeed need to be let go of at some point," he said, making a noise as close to a chuckle as a wolf can make. "Let me change back into my human form, though. I can't catch anything except maybe a ball in this form if you were to slip."
There was another unnoticed blush on his face, and he hoped by the time he changed it'd leave his mind and stop torturing it. Why did to make him do that, anyway? It was confusing him, something he didn't like. "Also, be careful not to wrap your arms too tightly were the spikes are, they hurt," he warned, meaning the ones on his collar.

"What spikes?" she asked, looking over at him, though released him so he could transform back.
Aasta was getting confused, then realized he thought she could see. She resisted the urge to giggle, and decided to wait until he asked, or made a comment. "We better be quiet though, or we'll wake up Tod. He's grouchy if someone wakes him up," she added with a soft giggle.

"Can't you see them?" he inquired, dumbfounded at how she couldn't have noticed. Nevertheless, he closed his eyes, the light engulfing him for a moment. Swallowing him, and yet he could only see the pitch back of darkness. His temperature dropped as his limbs grew into arms and legs, his muzzle pushing back into his face.
When his deep emerald voids opened again, he was human as he had been before, his clothes thankfully covering him, though he had feared he would not be able to concentrate on bringing them back. He took her words to mind, making a mental note to keep quiet. If Tod woke up, he'd rather not listen to any complaining. If a grouchy wolf was bad, he was sure a grouchy fox would be, too.

"I can't see Rafe. Tod is my pact partner, it's why he can talk. Can you help me up please?" Aasta explained cheerfully.
She didn't mind being blind, she in fact enjoyed it. She couldn't see the scary parts of the world anymore. She no longer had to retreat into the the corner when she got frightened of what she saw. Besides, she really wanted to go out into the rain.

His emerald eyes blinked. "Oh," he said in realization, registering that in his mind. When he noticed she had also asked for him to help her up, he scrambled to help her get up.
"You really love the rain, I take it?" It was more of a statement than a question, but he still said it as one. He could hear the drops pelting against the roof. And he realized, with another bit of warmth in his cheeks, how awkward it felt as he helped her to her feet.

"Oh yes. It's beautiful, and it makes beautiful music as it hits the ground," Aasta answered.
She held onto his arm a little, and she smiled. "Thank you Rafe," she added.
She loved the rain, and she gently pulled a little on Rafe's arm. "I don't know how long this will last," she said, smiling brightly.

"Rain must be of your favourite weather conditions," he said with a quiet chuckle. A smile on his lips, he helped guide her to the door, pulling it open with a small bit of effort. The hinges were a bit rusted and made a creaking noise as it opened, and he winced as it damaged his sensitive ears.
"Never knew doors could be that loud," he mumbled, rubbing his ear with his free hand as if it would help while he stepped out into the wet world. The rain sounded calm; melodic. It's scent was warm and hazy, lifting the irritation from hims limbs.

"Oh yes! It is very gentle," Aasta answered with a big smile, and she held out a hand into the rain.
The melodic sound was soothing, and it was cold over her fingers. She pulled her hand back, and rubbed them on her pants. "Cold," she whispered.
It was oddly comforting to be standing next to someone in the rain. It was then she noticed how more relaxed Rafe's arm felt under her hand. "You like the rain too, don't you?" she inquired, listening to the rain.
Inside, Tod watched them from his warm spot on the floor. 'Evil weather for me, good weather for them. At least Aasta is happy,' he thought with a smile, before closing his eyes for a moment.

"Yes," he said, laughing as he did. "At least I don't have to sit in a tub of flea medication getting my fur drenched in soapy water. The rain, though... I don't mind that drenching my fur. It's pretty calming."
There was a smile on his lips as he stared up at the silver sky. Strangely, it made him wonder what it was like to be blind, to not be able to see what was around you. Was it frightening? He wanted to ask; yet he didn't want to seem nosy or even too interested in it. If he did, she might find it offending.
"How does your head feel?" he inquired to keep himself from making any foolish mistakes.
